Reno resident recruited to head PowerDEX firm

(RENO, NEV) – John-Eric Jones, a pioneer in the field of providing online services and applications for the Auto Industry, was recently hired as the new president and general manager of PowerDEX, Inc., developer of the ControlCSI application.
A Texas native, Jones left his entrepreneurial stamp on the technology field in the 1990s, with his team’s development of web-based marketing applications using IBM’s lauded WEBSphere.

Over the next decade, he was involved with several successful business ventures, culminating in the acquisition of a coveted Dealer Specialties franchise that covered Northern Nevada and California. Before long, Jones found himself the leading provider of automobile advertising across the Internet. Through his various enterprises, Jones had methodically developed a network of auto dealers, suppliers, and distributors across North America.

While working with a group of auto industry professionals, Jones originated the idea of developing a single online application that could help auto dealers perform their myriad daily tasks, while simultaneously helping them achieve greater and more robust sales.

In 2008, Gelberg Enterprises, a network of Northern Nevada entrepreneurs, formed PowerDEX for the purpose of developing and marketing the innovation that Jones had envisioned. To reflect its new focus of online applications, Gelberg is currently in the process of renaming itself PowerDEX, Inc., and realizing that their operation needed somebody with strong credentials and a proven track record in both Internet technology and Automobile Industry, they turned to the one person they knew would fit the bill: John-Eric Jones.

Jones accepted PowerDEX’s offer; and immediately iniatiated negotiations with NeoSynergy, Inc., a Minnesota-based Automotive Industry software developer, whereby PowerDEX will integrate NeoSynergy’s products into ControlCSI, and, additionally, become the software company’s exclusive distributor and support channel.
